Cara sederhana untuk memainkan Recorder adalah dengan cara menempatkan jari dia atas 7 lubang yang ada di belakang, Yang mana angka 0 digunakan dengan caraa ibu jari Kiri, dan kemudian angka 1 dipakai dengan jari telunjuk kiri, dan begitu seterusnya sampai lubang ke 7
